Rita Townsend and her husband, Roscoe, are the owners of a popular Greenwood taco restaurant, Roscoe's Tacos. When Rita is not busy running a business, she likes to play the Hoosier Lottery. A couple of times a week she stops at the nearby Marathon to buy lottery tickets. "I like to buy my tickets there because they're friendly and are a locally-owned business like ours," Rita said.

Rita likes to play Draw games, but admittedly will let the tickets pile up on her office desk before she scans them on the Hoosier Lottery app. Finally, when Rita scanned her tickets, she discovered that she had won $100,000 on a Powerball® ticket from two weeks prior!

"I hadn't had my coffee yet, so I thought it said $1,000, but then I realized it said $100,000," Rita recalled. She scanned her ticket two more times before sending a screen shot of the prize amount to her husband who was grocery shopping. "It was shocking, but I always thought she'd win one day," Roscoe said about her win.

Rita plans to buy a new car with her prize money. Rita and Roscoe are also considering traveling to Las Vegas or Hawaii with the prize money.
